Students, teaching and non teaching staff of St. Patrick Education Centre at Nairobi’s Mwiki area woke to a shock of their life on Thursday morning when they found heaps of human waste on the verandahs of the school compound.

A gang of hooligans is alleged to have broken into the school compound at about 2 a.m. and committed the inhumane act. The school guard was locked in one of the class rooms in the school.

Apparently the miraa chewing gang that stole nothing from the school, gained entry to the school staff room and set on fire books worth thousands of shillings. They also left the miraa cuds all over the staff room area before escaping.

According to the school principal Mokeira Masinde, the hooligans also broke into the school kitchen and ate all the chapattis that were meant for Thursday morning breakfast.

Masinde said the incident will affect the form four students who are waiting to sit for their K.C.S.E. in October because most of their notebooks were burnt in the early morning incident.
